Show Notes

Jesus did not hide the will of salvation in a place where people could not see it and then tell them to find it out. Even though He spoke of the kingdom of God and rescued those who were suffering, some people did not accept what had already appeared and demanded another sign. Before such people, the Lord spoke of the reason one lights a lamp: “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light” (Luke 11:33). Lighting a lamp and putting it on a lampstand is for showing the light to those who come in. If people do not see the light even though it is shining, one cannot blame only the position of the lamp.
