The Lord spoke using the matter of being invited to a wedding feast so that anyone could easily understand. When a host invites guests to a feast, he prepares in advance the seats where the guests will sit. He sets apart seats for the village elders and high-ranking people to sit in, prepares seats for the ordinary villagers to sit in, and next also prepares seats for the poor. In this way, at a feast there are seats prepared to be given to the guests.
